We were pleased to have the opportunity to organize the two-week training camp of our friends from Egypt, the club handball champion of Egypt and Africa, HC Al Ahly Club. We carried out the preparations in two stages: The first took place in the beautiful mountains of Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, where hard fitness training was done and two strong control matches were played with the Slovenian teams Trimo Trebnje and MRK Krka. In the second part of the preparations, the team of Al Ahly club participated in the big and famous handball tournament in Doboj, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The highest quality European teams participated in the tournament: FC Barcelona, HC Montpellier, HC Zagreb, HC Vojvodina, RK Eurofarm Pelister, HC Celje, MRK Sloga. Al Ahly club played well and deservedly qualified for the final, where they unfortunately lost to a really strong opponent, FC Barcelona.
